About Poynton Ear Care
Poynton Ear Care is a new hearing business set up as a result of the increased demand for Ear Care service post Covid-19. Poynton Ear Care is run by a local resident who is passionate about ears and has been in the field of Hearing Science for the past 20 years. As a registered Health and Care Professional Council (HCPC) professional, I have worked in the NHS, private and charitable hearing organisations and have a love for diagnostic hearing assessment and rehabilitation. The main goal of Poynton Ear Care is to improve the ear health and listening skills of people with permanent and temporary hearing losses.
As a member of the British Academy of Audiology and British Society of Audiology, I continue to maintain my Career Professional Development keeping up to date with the latest developments in national protocols and guidelines. I have contracts with Phonak Ltd in Warrington for hearing aid provision for hearing aids and Starkey in Hazel Grove for earmould services.
I offer home visits and a weekly local clinic at Poynton Civic Centre for earwax removal, hearing screening, hearing aid maintenance and fitting and earmould supplies and advice. I follow the clinical PPE requirements and am compliant with appropriate infection control procedures and have fully calibrated up-to-date hearing equipment. I also have enhanced DBS at Poynton Ear Care and am insured for working with adults and children.
